Enjoy your coffee or tea while someone else makes breakfast…even for you!! It’s as easy as 1,2,3!

Dear Camping Friend,
If you’d like to watch others do a little campfire cooking while you enjoy your coffee or tea provide a great activity for your kids (or adult kids) and not have to clean up all those pots and pans, then this might be the most important letter you’ll ever read.

Here’s why:
Biscuits on a Stick was designed not only for ease of use, but for safety. You see, Biscuits on a Stick measures almost 50 inches long. It keeps you or your loved one from getting too close to the campfire when cooking.

Three Reasons to Believe What I Say:

Reason One: How many folks do you know don’t like water? Well, there are a few, but might few. I can beat those odds… I have never heard any camper say: “I don’t like Biscuits on a Stick!”

Reason Two: I have been camping since I was knee high to a grasshopper and have made hundreds of campfires. Over the last several years that I have made Biscuits on a Stick I get 1 of 2 responses: “This is certainly an easy camping recipe.” or “I have to remember to make this the next time I go camping!”

Reason Three: Biscuits on a Stick is the only product especially made for…well, Biscuits on a Stick!! You can make your own stick from a soft dowel rod and it will burn in the fire, or you can use a tree branch where who knows what animal was last on it, and carve a nice twig–but it just won’t be the same—and that’s a promise!

Here is a summary of the benefits you receive:

1) Biscuits on a Stick is Safe!
Biscuits on a Stick is almost 50 inches long to keep you and your loved ones a safe distance from the campfire. Child supervision is still of the utmost importance.

2) Biscuits on a Stick is made from nature’s best.
Biscuits on a Stick is hewned from hard woods such as oak or hickory to ensure durability, long life and proper heat distribution.

3) Biscuits on a Stick is just the right size.
After cooking over the open campfire, Biscuits on a Stick can be stuffed with your favorite sausage link, jam, honey, butter or other favorite camping food. In fact, there are so many ways to make it, you will have to write them down with your other easy campfire recipes.

4) Biscuits on a Stick makes for a quick breakfast.
With a campfire burning, you can be enjoying your breakfast from your Biscuits on a Stick in less than 15 minutes. Biscuits on a Stick should always be on your camping list as one of your favorite camping recipes.

5) Biscuits on a Stick is easy.
Anyone can use Biscuits on a Stick. It’s a great kids camping food because you can sit with your youngest and hold the stick with them, or watch older children or adults enjoy making their own breakfast. There is just no excuse; everyone can cook breakfast with Biscuits on a Stick. It’s just a great camping food!

6) Biscuits on a Stick is loved by all!
Everyone will not only love Biscuits on a Stick, but will talk about it long after you make breakfast. In fact, they will want to know where you bought yours. So, just tell them Biscuitsonastick.com!

7) Biscuits on a Stick cleans up quickly.
Just wipe the tip off with a damp cloth, cover the tip with foil or a small plastic bag and store with your other camping supplies. Breakfast cleanup is done!

A Little History:

Biscuits on a Stick can actually be traced back to both a Canadian origin as well as an American Indian origin. Originally the bread made and cooked on a open campfire was called bannock or bannock on a stick. Canadian Aboriginals were known for making bannock and historical records refer to a Bannock-Shashone Indian tribe residing in Idaho in the 1800s.

Simply, it’s biscuits prepared by wrapping biscuit dough on the end of a stick and cooking them over a campfire. When golden brown, just take the bread off the stick and fill it with your favorite campfire food.

I have seen and read many versions of Biscuits on a Stick; none compare to THE Biscuits on a Stick!

When you receive your Biscuits on a Stick, you will notice that the sticks are made of hard wood, unlike what you will find anywhere else. It was designed for longevity and the rough environment of camping. Additionally, you will notice the smoothness of the wood as well as the one-of-a-kind crowned cooking tip! The tip was engineered for ease of removal of the biscuit after cooking.

Simply assemble the two halves together (tap flat ends of stick into the specially designed BOAS connector) and you are ready to make breakfast. However, before you cook the first time, you will want to season the cooking tip with vegetable oil. This prepares and preserves the cooking tip and it makes it easier for the cooked biscuit to slide off the stick. Now, you can buy the cheapest biscuits you can find…like the 4 cans for $1 type? You know, the canned biscuits that you smack on the side of a table to open? But you can also use your favorite brand as well; it’s really up to your taste and liking.

Take one biscuit out of the can and gently stretch it so that it’s about 4-5 inches long. Then place it on the cooking tip.

Wrap the rest of the biscuit around the stick. Make sure you seal the seams. You don’t want the wood to show while cooking. (Here’s my secret- I use 2 biscuits so it cooks to about 6-7 inches long when done.)

Now just hold the cooking tip with the fresh biscuit above the campfire. Roll it continuously so it will cook evenly.

When it’s golden brown, in about 6-8 minutes, it’s done! Remove it from the campfire, let cool momentarily and then slide the cooked biscuit off the stick. CAUTION- BISCUIT WILL BE VERY HOT. LET COOL OR USE HAND PROTECTION. You now have a “Biscuit Tube.”

Fill the tube with a sausage link, jam, scrambled eggs, honey, you name it. And that’s all there is.

Cleanup is a snap. Just wipe the cooking tip off with a damp cloth, cover the tip with foil or plastic bag, and store with the rest of your camping gear.

Don’t take my word for it. Listen to what our customers say.

Warning! Do NOT buy any Biscuits on a Stick unless it meets the following 3 criteria.

1) It’s made of oak or hickory wood. Other products are inferior and won’t last.

2) It has a crowned cooking tip. Other products tend to stick to a flat tip, not to mention the biscuit will pick up loose wood shavings off the flat sticks.

3) It stores easily. Simply wipe off and store it with your other camping equipment.

You get your money’s worth!

Well, you could do this yourself. Get a stick out of the forest that is laying down somewhere and use it…not sure if that’s the most sanitary suggestion however. Or, you could cut a branch and wrap it with raw biscuit, but be prepared; it won’t slide off the end like Biscuits on a Stick will. Or, I suppose you could go to your local hardware store and buy a stick, but it wouldn’t be hardwood; it won’t have the specially engineered crowned tip and it will be a tad dusty; and it will either be way too short or way too long that you will have to cook the biscuits on your neighbor’s campfire.

In summary, here’s what you get when you order Biscuits on a Stick:

You will get your very own Biscuits on a Stick.

It will be made of Oak or Hickory, a very hard wood.

It will have a specially engineered crowned tip. This prevents leaching into the end of a store-bought stick. It also prevents biscuits from sticking to the tip before or after cooking.

Easy to follow instructions. However, if you watch the video on the website, you won’t need the instructions at all.
